Network Printer

The network printer can be used by connecting the USB printer to the LG Network Storage.

① Select Service > Network Printer from the administrator’s web menu.

② Check “Enable”, click the “Apply” button.

[Windows users]

① In the web menu go to “Enable” to connect the network printer, after which an LG Network Storage printer icon appears.

② Doubling clicking on the icon shows the progress of the printer driver installation. For installation issues refer to the printer manual.

③ If installation is unsuccessful use the network printer service.

[Mac users]

① Click on Go/ Utilities in the tool menu.

② Click on the Printer Setup Utility.

③ Click on Add.

④ Hold the alt key down while clicking on More Printers.

⑤ In the pop up window:

i. Select Advanced.

ii. Select Windows Printer via SAMBA.

iii. Input the printer URI. The form name is smb: /LG Network Storage IP/printer. The printer name can be found in the Device Configuration(device config)/ USB Printer page.

iv. In Printer Model, select Generic.

v. Click Add.

* By pressing the alt key while clicking on More Printers, a range of printers can be seen. There are no other options.

vi. The printer appears in the printer list. Now the printer is ready for use.

* Linux users must consult the OS manual, or inquire at the printer company.
